The Culinary Chef will be responsible to consistently provide fine dining experience to the guests of the facility. He/she is responsible for the food service operation, which provides breakfast, lunch, dinner and special event food.

Responsibilities

•Supervise other personnel engaged in specialty cooking, preparation, presentation and service of food and beverage items.
•Assist in planning and planning regular and special diet menus as prescribed by the attending
physician. Prepare and serve portion-controlled meals that are palatable and appetizing in
appearance.
•Work with the facility’s dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required. Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services.
•Assist in developing methods for determining quality and quantity of food served.

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Must possess a valid Food Handler’s Card.
• Minimum of two (2) years dietary/food service experience in a hotel restaurant, hospital, or
nursing facility required.
• Culinary supervisory experience preferred.
