About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to provide authoritative leadership for all nursing services, overseeing the delivery of compassionate, quality guest care while ensuring strict compliance with all federal and state regulations. Key functions include strategic resource and budget management, developing and implementing nursing policies, staffing and employee development, and coordinating care with all facility departments to uphold the highest standards of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being for every guest.

What You’ll Do

  • Clinical & Operational Command: Hold ultimate authority and accountability for all nursing services. You will design, execute, and monitor the entire nursing system, directly influencing the quality of life for every guest and ensuring they achieve their highest physical and psychosocial well-being.

Develop forward-thinking policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, manage preparation for successful inspection surveys, and uphold the highest ethical standards, particularly guest rights and advocacy.
  • Talent Architect & Mentor: Shape a high-performing team by leading the recruitment, hiring, and leadership development of all nursing staff. Create and deliver effective orientation and continuous education programs to ensure clinical competency and professional growth.
  • Financial & Resource Strategist: Collaborate with Administration to develop, manage, and optimize a significant departmental budget. Strategically determine staffing mix, hours of care, and resource allocation (technology, supplies) to meet regulatory requirements while maintaining efficiency.
  • Quality and Safety Champion: Implement robust quality assurance measures, from daily rounds and interdisciplinary care planning (RAI) to rigorous risk management and safety protocols (Infection Control, accident prevention). You will be the facility's champion for patient safety and dignity.
