The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for the business development and marketing activities and strategies across the Alante post-acute network and is responsible for all strategic business development planning required to support the skilled care facilities and locations budget targets for admission volume and financial results. The VPBD must ensure adequate business plans, strategic initiatives and tactics are developed and monitored for successful execution and reported/communicated to hospital and market leadership. S/he is also responsible for physician development, partnering in clinical program development; decision support and analytics, marketing and communication. In addition, the VPBD will serve as the link between marketing strategy for SNF, ALF, Memory Care, Home Health and Hospice operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a business development and marketing strategy for all business lines of the organization. 
  • Develop and adhere to an annual business development and marketing budget. 
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of ACOs, BPCI and other CMS and industry initiatives and strategies. 
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of post-acute network strategies down to each service line level (skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, memory care, home health, home care (private-duty nursing) and hospice). 
  • Develop “C” Suite relationships and strategies- i.e. physicians, specialists, hospitals, ACO, BPCI etc. 
  • Deploy and adhere to “Smart Selling” techniques. 
  • Develop education and educational systems tied to key industry initiatives essential to business development, and marketing strategies of the organization. 
  • Work with potential payers and consultants (Insurance; ACOs, etc.) to develop partnership/contractual agreements and strategies. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements.
  • Minimum of five (5) years healthcare management level experience in strategic planning, business development, market research or related executive area, such as a senior housing executive director or administrator or higher.
  • Vertical experience with two or more senior housing and healthcare services lines (i.e. skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, memory care, home health, home care (private-duty nursing) and hospice) preferred.
  • Clinical background such as RN, LP/VN, LCSW, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, or Respiratory Therapist with strong selling and physician relations skills preferred.
