Overview

The Assistant Director of Nursing assist the DON in evaluating associate performance, providing feedback, coaching, redirecting, providing discipline as needed and assume responsibilities in their absence or as requested.

 

Responsibilities

•Assist in developing and maintaining nursing objectives, standards of nursing practice, nursing policy and procedures, methods for coordination of nursing services with other guest services.
•Coordinates clinical programs as assigned (i.e., Staff Development Program, Infection Control Program, etc.) and maintains all tracking and reporting systems for the programs.

Qualifications

•Must hold a current, valid RN license or temporary RN license, or hold a compact RN license. Must maintain valid licensure to practice as a RN.
•Must be knowledgeable of nursing/medical practices and procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and other guidelines.
•Minimum of one (1) year nursing leadership experience.
•Minimum of one (1) year experience in Critical Care or SNF, preferred.
•Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
