The Environmental Services Director (Maintenance Director) is responsible for the direction of all environmental service activities at the facility. He/she ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitary conditions are maintained throughout the facility. Accountable for all cleaning activities, floor care, trash removal, meeting set-ups, training of departmental personnel and support of special functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all environmental service activities so that optimal services are provided in an efficient and effective manner, meeting all applicable regulatory, licensure and accrediting regulations.
•Develop and maintain written maintenance/environmental services policies and procedures.
•Assist the maintenance/environmental services associates in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
•Assist in establishing a preventive maintenance/environmental services program.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of plumbing, electric, drywall and general building maintenance.
• Understanding of TELS, Word, Excel, budgets and Outlook.
• Clean driving record is required.
• Leadership and scheduling experience required, this position oversees two associates and the housekeeping team.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
• Must have two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance/environmental services/plant related position.
